

Melinda, a resident of Sun Valley, Idaho and New York City, serves on the Board of the Center for Biodiversity at the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan, where she is also an honorary trustee of the Museum She served there as a Trustee from 1988 to 2003, where she created a docent program for the Museum. Melinda also served on the Board and as Vice President of The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York from 1988 to 1993. Her husband, Ambassador Alan Blinken, served in Belgium from 1993 to 1998, where Melinda was in charge of cultural affairs and women’s health issues. Upon her return to the United States, she served on the Board of Meridian House International in Washington, D.C. Currently, Melinda is a member of the Boards of Directors of The Heinz Center for Biodiversity, The Frank Church Institute, and Living with Wolves.
